Wedding anniversary in Venice Italy

Wedding anniversary in Venice the city of love

Fabrizio 1130 600

An intimate and romantic ceremony for Laura and Fabrizio to renew their vows after 10 years of marriage. Venice the ideal background to celebrate your union.

Laura and Fabrizio came to Venice to celebrate their wedding anniversary. No guests or luxurious receptions. Just a romantic and intimate ceremony for the renewal of their vows. An idyllic picture ideally kissed by the sun of the lagoon. A moment intensely lived and experienced with a full awareness in their heart. Fabrizio and Laura chose to entrust the organisation to some experts, without leaving anything to chance. The wedding professional experts have the ability to make something accurately planned look like a carefree walk in the nature. The result is definitely perfect, and the married couple renewed their vows and reconfirmed their intentions in front of the most romantic city of the world.

Venice is a city that has to be rediscovered every day. A day with a changeable light is sufficient to make some details never imagined before appear. Italy, and Venice in particular, are more and more often the location chosen for wedding aims by people coming from all over the world, willing to be involved in an atmosphere without parallel. The most difficult part is to decide where to celebrate. Outdoors or in a palace? In the heart of the historical centre or maybe in a more private location, such as the Giudecca Island or Sant’Erasmo? Hard to make a decision for those who wish to have a memory that will definitely be unique and indelible. A pleasant problem to solve, at least once in your life.

Though being still young and already married, Fabrizio and Laura decided to give themselves a present: a romantic wedding anniversary plus the renewal of their vows. Thanks to the lovely weather, the two lovers chose a location that day by day is attracting more and more couples: the historical campiello Remer. The reason for this preference is easy to explain. It seems to be nestled in the Venetian construction, and right next to this little square there is a long staircase. In front of the well there is a view of the Grand Canal, on its left you can admire the Rialto Bridge while on its right, still on the same bank, the fish market.

The day of the vows renewal has come. Fabrizio is really elegant. Short hair and a thick but really well groomed beard. Dark blue suit with a tie and a white flower in his buttonhole. Laura wears more casual clothes, but she is as fine as him. White half sleeve blouse, blue and white polka-dot skirt with a lace that seems to wink to some expert tailors from the island of Burano. To finish, white high heeled shoes and the unavoidable bouquet obviously of the same colour. In front of the well the civilian employee reads what must be claimed. Fabrizio and Laura pledge each other eternal love. They exchange their vows and their rings. Between the two of them now there is exactly the same magical feeling that was there the first time they met and fell in love.

And the night ends like this, with a knowing glance and a kiss that doesn't stop moving. They have got a whole life in front of them. They’ve got their love. Venice is cuddling them. After having celebrated the ceremony, now it’s the time to relax and, why not? to enjoy a good meal, too. In Italy good cuisine always walks hand in hand with passion and all those who wish to enjoy fish specialties are spoilt for choice. Laura and Fabrizio activate their gps to find out a good restaurant not far from the Rialto, on the other bank of the Grand Canal. And here they are, crossing some of the most stunning corners of the city, starting  from the very close campo San Bartolomeo, or, like Venetians use to call it, “San Bortolo”.

There, in the middle of the little square there is the statue of the immortal playwright Carlo Goldoni (1707-1793) who gave birth to many famous stories, such as the renowned adventures of La Locandiera. Just a little before getting there, their attention is captured by the Fondaco dei Tedeschi, recently restored. Fabrizio and Laura walk slowly. A little later, it’s the moment to go over the Rialto Bridge, passing from Cannaregio district to San Polo, not before having enjoyed a view from the high, travelling so far with their sight imagining to get off in Saint Mark’s Square at the end of the Grand Canal.

They start their descent by walking alongside the church of Saint Giacomo di Rialto and the square with the same name. Not far from there they hear a noisy chatting in Venetian dialect. This is a place of market, trades and fantastic “cicchetti”(typical Venetian drinks). There is a little wooden landing place where the boats download their goods and on sunny days it is always stormed by tourists who lie down to sunbathe and enjoy Venice literally around the corner from the Grand Canal. Fabrizio and Laura can’t miss the chance to enter this wonderful living portrait of the lagoon and then they still dwell on the neighbouring areas, where the gondola has to travel from the fish market to Santa Sofia, next to Strada Nova.

Fabrizio and Laura are in front of the Grand Canal. They are silent and concentrated. They chose Venice for their romantic wedding anniversary. Fabrizio and Laura chose Venice for the renewal of their vows with a private ceremony. They looked into each other’s eyes, like and even more intensely than anytime before. They said “yes” to each other once more, today, in Venice, and forever.
