Costanza Ortensio Proposal 1130 600

Anything can happen on the waters of the Grand Canal. For information ask Costanza, who saw delivered to her an original marriage proposal in Venice, with a private taxi.

Venice , 15th of November, 2014. The soft aroma of the typical sweets of the feast of Saint Martin is still in the air. There is no more trace of the icy autumn of long time ago, when it was full of fog and fierce humidity. In this 14th year of the third millennium, climate is mild, making more true than ever the expression "Indian summer". The ancient maritime republic , however, is already preparing for another major event, the celebration of Health (21th of November), in which, next to the homonymous Basilica, will set up a votive bridge. A party in which began to participate more and more foreigners and also not only people from Venice. Among the new arrivals of these days there is also a couple from Rome: Costanza and Ortensio. She can not know, but his caring partner "plotted" something eternally tender for her: an original marriage proposal, with a private taxi .

"Everyone wants to impress people, but how can you really shock?", asked an amused Tupac Shakur from the stage of the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, during the 38th Annual Grammy Awards. And that was when he presented his "old boys", in other words the planetary rock band KISS, back to the glories of the seventies with a lot of makeup and a mask.  Ortensio was less theatrical than the "gift” that the American rapper introduced to the crazed public, but when the beautiful Constance saw "delivered" to her, under her astonished eyes, an original marriage proposal in Venice with a private taxi, she felt nothing but a shock. It was a triumph of pure and limitless love emotions.

Arrived at the lagoon, Ortensio and Costanza accomodate in an elegant hotel not far from San Marco’s square. This hotel is a structure that you can reach also directly from Rio Santissime, and so entering into the aqueous dimension of the Serenissima . It may seem trivial (and it is not), but one way to totally immerse yourself  into the culture of a new city is also its cuisine. No one could say, for example, to have really lived the British atmosphere without trying at least once a classic fish & chips. And then, here you are the two new protagonists of this new tale of Cupid. Romantically seated in a private room of the restaurant of that hotel. Dine peacefully. They also speak of this and that. The atmosphere is dominated by quiet,  but "maybe"  there are some more thoughts in the head of the "boy".

Indeed, a couple of minutes before 2 pm, Ortensio invites Costanza to enjoy the unique view of the Grand Canal. There is the usual parade of gondolas, public transport, private boats and locals who devote themselves vigorously to the Venetian rowing. Then, in the scenario, breaks something different. A taxi with an inscription on the roof, or better, the inscription: “Constanza, will you marry me?”. She is shocked and amazed. As a good knight in love, on the private terrace Ortensio kneels with a ring offered to his lady. Excited more than ever, she gladly accepts. And once he has put it on her, it's the time of the embrace with the most sweet and intense kiss ever. Almost hidden by her long brown hair, Costanza wrapped in a human cloud of love her boyfriend .

The future bride and groom go back into the small dining room. They have many things to talk about, and to dream. They look at each other. Whispers and tenderness. Paraphrasing Fabrizio De André and his immortal Mouth of roses, "There was a white panel/ with a purple inscription, it asked Constanza, will you marry me? / Makes of our love your every word”.
