Jey Lo Proposal 2 1130 600

Venice is the perfect setting for the wedding proposal of Jey & Lo, the magical city of Venice as a frame and the island of San Giorgio as the location of the proposal.

27th August 2017. Venice is waiting for the Hollywood stars of the 74th Venice International Film Festival at the Lido. But all the magic of the big screen has been previously created and celebrated in real life. And here we are, on another island of the lagoon called San Giorgio, where the enchantment of love is going to take place. Jey organized a romantic wedding proposal. Now he just needs to bring there his sweet Lo and then propose to her. A triumph of emotions and feelings. Everything will turn into an unforgettable memory.

It’s a fine summer day. There is a breeze that blew away every cloud. Everything is ready. The impeccable organization of Brilliant Wedding Venice managed to control even the weather for a new wedding proposal on the island of San Giorgio. Everything is waiting for the two lovers. There, in front of a building with over 450 years of history, the official engagement is going to take place. Meanwhile they decided to enjoy the atmosphere of Venice with a gondola ride. Even for the residents themselves, when they go aboard a gondola the view is completely different. It's another Venice.

As Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, they enjoy their “Venetian holiday”. A street. A well. A bacaro. A glance. Someone greets them and they answer friendly. The smell of the canals turns into an aroma impossible to reproduce, even with the best photograph. These are moments that they could just hand down in the next years. These are emotions that cannot be fully understood without living these experiences. The gondolier goes ahead. He talks with some friends, other gondoliers who speak the typical Venetian dialect.  Lo and Jey land and then go aboard a taxi.

The two lovers are going to the island of San Giorgio, apparently without any particular reason. There is nothing suspicious: it’s impossible not to plan a visit to the Basilica Palladiana during a tour in Venice. The two strangers arrive. There are three balloons: white, red and blue. Maybe a child forgot them. Maybe they are a memory of a special moment. The notes of a violinist and then the moment for Jey to kneel and ask for the hand of his sweetheart, who accepts excited and happy.

The man stands up and the woman waits to see the ring on her ring finger. Then hugs. Long, repeated, romantic, endless hugs. Every moment is perfect to huddle. This pair has become a monument to the immortality of love. They are surrounded by Venice and all its timeless glory: Saint Mark's basin with the famous square, the Basilica della Salute, the Riva degli Schiavoni. These elements were the frame of the romantic wedding proposal of Jey on the island of San Giorgio.

Like the first kiss, the engagement is an unrepeatable moment. Jey and Lo are living it fully. They are enjoying the spectacle. They are together and they will be together for their entire lives. They look at the lagoon in front of them. On the island of San Giorgio there are just the two of them, the echo of the wedding proposal and the sweet sound of the waves. Their hearts are beating in unison. So many emotions. And that feeling of a life and a future to share.

Those balloons were not there by accident. As well as a brunch of flowers for the groom. The two betrothed go again aboard a taxi. As Doge and Dogaressa of the third millennium, they go through the Grand Canal. They leave behind them the only wooden bridge of the Serenissima that joins Dorsoduro and San Marco, the wonderful Accademia Bridge. Then they advance again and after a few minutes the majestic Rialto Bridge, recently restored, and soon after the Rialto market on the left. Then to Santa Sofia, perpendicular to the Strada Nova.

The sky is getting darker. Jey and Lo are enjoying their day. The day of their wedding they will have to sit down with guests, but today there are just the two of them. They leave the water and they walk back to Saint Mark’s square. They kiss and dance under the Procuratie Nuove. They hold their hands, the world's simplest gesture, the one that really expresses a feeling. Now it’s time for an aperitif on a panoramic terrace overlooking the island of San Giorgio. They look at each other. They thought about the romantic proposal. A memory that they will keep in their souls forever. Today in Venice they toast to their love.
