CA’ FARSETTI
Another wonderful place where to celebrate your civil wedding is Ca' Farsetti palace.
It faces the Grand Canal and it is located not far from the Rialto Bridge.
The palace was built in the 13th century and was acquired around 1670 by a noble Venetian family, the Farsetti family, who established here an academy in the 18th century. Now the palace is a property of the municipality of Venice.
The palace is in Venetian-Byzantine and Renaissance style and has a beautiful portico with Corinthian columns, very similar to that of the neighbouring Ca' Loredan.
Ceremonies are celebrated in the picturesque Sala degli Stucchi (Stucchi Hall), which is perfect for an elegant and sumptuous wedding, thanks to its magical atmosphere created by its beautiful stuccoes.
Also George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were enchanted by the beauty of this room and chose this location to officialise their wedding in 2014.
CA’ LOREDAN
Ca' Loredan is a former palace of a famous noble family, the Loredan family.
At walking distance from the Rialto Bridge, this palace faces the Grand Canal and is located right next to Ca’ Farsetti, from which it is divided only by a calle.
It is currently home to the municipal council. Ceremonies are indeed celebrated in Sala del Consiglio (Council Hall), an opulent room overlooking the water, refined with paintings and stunning Murano glass chandeliers, which create the perfect backdrop for a luxurious civil wedding.
