For Kam and Laura a romantic tour on a famous gondola, the wedding proposal, the fateful "Yes" followed by a scenic tour by taxi in the Grand Canal, then to the island of San Giorgio Maggiore and finally to the Rose Island, a small private island where the couple spent romantic moments and had dinner in a Michelin-starred restaurant on the island.
First the wedding proposal on a gondola, then the dinner on a private island in Venice. It was an unforgettable day for Kam and Laura. They're young and in love. He, as a good Romeo of the third millennium, asked for the help of an expert wedding planner because he wanted the organization of his romantic wedding proposal to be perfect. The ancient maritime Republic was the background he chose for the incarnation of a boundless sentiment for his Juliet.
It is a pleasant and bright morning in Venice. The sky is blue. Some white clouds move gracefully. Kam and Laura have planned this trip to Venice since a long time. Coming to this town without enjoying a gondola ride would be a mortal sin, and in fact the two "lovebirds" boarded, not so far from Saint Mark's square. Together with them, the gondolier and an excellent violinist. The gondola goes on till the moment when a giant poster with a picture of them is dropped from a bridge. There are five words written on: Laura, will you marry me?
The girl can hardly believe it. A romantic wedding proposal on a gondola seems like a dream. But it’s not a dream, it's all real. They hug each other. Laura can’t help holding back her tears. She looks around as if she still doesn't believe that everything is really happening to her. Other tourists see the wedding proposal on the gondola and their smartphone are immediately ready to capture this moment... probably they’re hoping that one day maybe they could live something as wonderful as this. The small boat, a symbol of Venice, goes under the Bridge of Sighs and then arrives close to St. Mark’s Square.
Laura and Kam are starting their journey together. This time is forever. He gives her a bouquet of red roses. And there they are, two souls in love with the island of San Giorgio Maggiore and Saint Mark's basin as the perfect background. Then it’s time to take a picture in front of the Doge's Palace, kissing each other among the wide columns. But their journey is not over yet, they still want to enjoy their Venetian engagement.
The first stop is the Basilica della Salute, a baroque church built in the 17th century to pray Our Lady to free the city from the plague that within the biennium 1630-31 exterminated the population. The sunbeams bounce between the dome and the various sculptures of the façade, and then they ideally join into the hands of Kam and Laura. Then they go through St. Mark’s Basin and reach the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, another pearl of Venice.
The tour continues up to land in a small and romantic private island. A really special place to spend an unforgettable day. A secluded island to culminate the triumph of love that has taken place on board of a gondola, where Kam made his romantic wedding proposal to the sweet Laura. They walk around until dinner time. Course after course, it's all a rethink what we have just experienced. The more exquisite is the food, much sweeter the memory of this day, so intense and part of their life from now on.
