Intimate wedding in one of the most romantic palaces in Venice Italy

A touching Catholic ceremony inside the St. Mark’s Basilica

St. Mark’s Basilica is not only famous for being one of the symbols of Venice, but also because of the marvelous golden mosaics on its ceilings. In fact, if you look up once you’re in, you’ll be astonished by the incredible and detailed composition you’ll see above your head. It’s here that Pauline and Kévin promised to love each other for the rest of their lives, surrounded by their families and intimate friends. 

 

 

Pauline arrived on a gondola, accompanied by his father. She was visibly nervous but not as much Kévin, who was anxious to see her future wife in her beautiful white dress. It was a simple ceremony, but really moving. Pauline and Kévin are so in love that any people they get in contact with can see the deep respect and admiration they feel for each other. Once the ceremony ended and the guests were told where to go for the wedding reception, the just-married couple spent some time around Venice for the photoshoot. 

 

 

As we said, we arranged the photo service in the internal courtyard of the Doge’s Palace, where there is the imponent Giants' Staircase on which the ceremony of the Doge's coronation took place, in the past. 

A few pictures were taken in St. Mark’s Square and in front of San Giorgio Maggiore island too, on the other side of St. Mark’s Basin. Pauline and Kévin couldn’t stop smiling in front of the camera, their happiness was so deep and pure, that you could easily see it on their faces.

 

 

 

Wedding reception inside a beautiful palace in Venice, Italy

As usual, while the newlyweds are occupied with the photoshoot and the guests are still on their way to the place where the wedding reception would take place, we check one more time that everything is at its place. We enlight candles and adjust the flower compositions. Everything must be perfect when everyone arrives. Nothing is left to chance: neither the position of the cutlery. 

For this particular wedding, we located a long table in the center of the Venetian palace ballroom and we decorated it with candles and flowers. There were three huge bunches of flowers, composed of white hortensias and pink roses, supported by three tall vases and eight smaller bunches positioned in the center of the table as a centerpiece.

 

 

Every seating at the table was decorated with a single pink rose tied up with a napkin through a pink and white dotted ribbon. 

Pauline and Kévin arrived before their guests, in time to take some more pictures inside the amazing Venetian palace they chose for their wedding reception. Then the dinner began and we left the just-married couple enjoying their special day with their families and friends, under the spectacular frescos of the ceiling of this incredibly romantic palace in Venice, Italy.
