A touching wedding proposal in a secret garden in Venice

Johnny and Theresa are an American couple who came to Venice for a few days or at least this is what Theresa was told. In fact, Venice was the excuse for Johnny to propose to the love of his life.

When he emailed us, we could feel Johnny's anxiety among lines and his love for the beautiful girl who "stole his heart away", that we couldn't say no. Johnny was dreaming about a marriage proposal in a secret garden in Venice, with some candles and balloons.

He wanted something simple but well organized, he wanted her to be surprised and happy, and we were determined to make it happened.

That day the sun was high, illuminating Venice and its lagoon. The Grand Canal was like a silver river, shining and making everything around it brighter.

The secret garden we chose for Johnny and Theresa faces the Grand Canal, but it remains hidden among trees. A beautiful railing surrounds it, and the gate in the middle of it was a direct door to the Grand Canal when during the Serenissima Republic, people used to move around the city on gondolas.

 

 

We prepared the garden with about 50 red helium balloons, several candles, and white lanterns, creating an incredibly romantic atmosphere.

Johnny and Theresa arrived at the garden after a romantic gondola ride on the Grand Canal. Theresa was touched, but she still didn't know what Johnny had prepared for her.

He was continuously touching his pocket, where the ring was jealously conserved. Once they stepped into the garden, he couldn't resist anymore. He had to give a voice to his love, pronouncing those famous and important words he was repeating inside himself since when they landed in Venice: "Will you marry me?".

 

 

Johnny asked for some water. He was so embarrassed and happy that those words seemed not to want to come out of his mouth. But then he took courage and take the ring box out of his pocket, kneeling in front of Theresa. She smiled, tenderly, understanding in a moment what he had planned for her inside that Venetian secret garden, enlightened by candles and lanterns, and full of those red and white balloons.

She was holding three red roses in her hands, and when their song started, she knew that the moment she was waiting for had finally arrived.  

Among happy tears, Johnny asked his question, and she said "yes", smiling. She was so thrilled that she couldn't keep that happiness for herself when she saw the ring on her finger.  They hugged each other strongly as if they wanted to be sure that all this was real and actually happening to them. 

 

 

Johnny dried his tears away, while she was lovingly smiling at him. It was so romantic and touching that we also had to ask for some tissues to dry up our tears. And then, they danced till the sun went down on Venice, covering it with dark. But there was still a bright light reflecting on the Grand Canal that night. It was Johnny and Theresa's love that was shining from their heart and dancing with the stars. 

The sound of a sincere toast interrupted the silence of the night, celebrating a new chapter of Johnny and Theresa's love story.
