Before they celebrate in Canada, then Patrick & Carrie have a symbolic ceremony in Venice, toasting on a private terrace, overlooking the lagoon.

From Alberta to the St. Mark's basin in Venice to glide there, on the terrace of Europa & Regina Hotel, where Patrick and Carrie allowed themselves a symbolic ceremony.

It was a quite muggy summer the one that Venice just lived, during 2015. For others, it was simply unforgettable. Carrie and Patrick have something wonderfully unique to pass down. And how could it be otherwise? They left behind their native Canada to make a stop in Italy. On their journey along the Mediterranean, Carrie, daughter of Francis and Fonna Wong, and Patrick, son of Otto and Liselotte Wild, stopped in the most romantic city in the world to add to their wedding (already celebrated with a civil ceremony in Edmonton, Alberta) an extra piece in their puzzle of love. A symbolic ceremony in Venice on a private terrace overlooking the Grand Canal and St. Mark's basin.

The couple arrived in the early morning at the Westin Europa & Regina, an hotel born from the union of five buildings, dating back to the eighteenth and nineteenth century, of which the oldest one belonged to the family of the famous painter Giambattista Tiepolo.

Just enough time for some retouch and at 10 o’clock for Patrick and Carrie it is already the time to go to the fact: the symbolic ceremony. The location of the Westin is the best you can dream in Venice: it is washed by the waters of the Grand Canal and able to show the epicenter of the art and beauty of the Maritime Republic (Punta of the Dogana / Health Church, St. George Island and Saint Mark's Square). In the picture there are also others protagonists, the proud white seagulls hovering the sky. On the private terrace, the eyes of Carrie and Patrick are concentrated and relaxed at the same time.

In spite of a certain standard practice in votes pronunciation, Carrie and Patrick have opened their hearts leaving out the most wonderfully sentimental moves inside. There, in the Venetian air, these words still resound.

“Carrie, is a beautiful, kind and passionate women who has a great love for family and friends.  Carrie loves art and the beauty of seeing new worlds  and living life to its fullest. She is a pillar of strength to her family and they respect her words as they know she means all well to them.
Carrie  also has a large circle of  sincere friends that  enjoy her laughter and positive outlook on life.
The respect and admiration extend to her work life where  she has mentored many employees so that they too can excel in their journeys  of life. Carrie loves Patrick dearly  who is the light that guides her through the dark moments of life as well as being by her side for all the beautiful moments. Patrick  provides inspiration and helps to give Carrie her  aura of energy for all her successes in recent life.

Patrick is an honest and kind man. He sees life with a positive attitude, never short tempered always patient. He is successful in his career and is admired by friends and colleagues  and loved by his family. Patrick has shown Carrie what love really is. He is the reason Carrie smiles from the inside out and for all her happy days. He cheers on Carrie's success and comforts her failures. His smile warms her  heart, he is her knight. Patrick is Carrie's  strength when she's  weak, always strong. Patrick is Carrie's  voice of reason. Patricks  zest for life has found him in all the corners of the world always  happy to have Carrie by his side .

Together this couple complements each other and have achieved a love . bond  and support for each other that is immensely strong , patient and endearing.”

Just twenty minutes and Venice inscribed in the hearts of the two Canadians a new and everlasting memory. So, after the “second” marriage, they have only to climb on board of a gondola and be lulled by the calm waters of the lagoon for a discovery journey of the Serenissima. A further series of shots in St. Mark’s Square, then they return walking from there to the Westin… and the journey can begin again. Always and passionately together.
