Wonderful wedding in a palace, surrounded by frescoes, a magic atmosphere, the lifelong Yes

Alexandre and his lovely partner flew from the distant Caribbean to Italy to make their dream of getting married in a luxurious Venetian palace become a sweet reality. From the breathtaking natural wonder of the Martinique (in the Antilles) to the Venetian magnificence. In the middle of this path there is an entire family: an expert wedding planner is waiting for them in Venice to assist them in a trip that until a little time before could only be imagined: mum and dad are getting married with a symbolic wedding ceremony in the heart of the ancient Maritime Republic and in front of their loving little darlings.

They are all wearing white clothes. A “boy” and four “girls”. Two big daughters and a toddler still in need to be tenderly carried in someone’s arms. Their mum, the bride, has her head decorated by a white wreath while daddy, the groom, is showing off an elegant white carnation on his waistcoat under his jacket. It’s a triumph of white while behind them the bluish green of the Grand Canal is flowing. The only chromatic variation: the daughters-bridesmaids are wearing blue sandals while the bride is wearing peach-coloured heeled shoes.

The fateful day of the wedding has come. The five protagonists are going up the stairs of the Venetian palace. The bride and the groom are smiling. They are thrilled but not anxious at all. They are happy. Holding hands they make their “white” entrance in the Music hall. The bride is carrying a bouquet. They sit on two elegant ceremony chairs, while behind them are the three daughters, with the little one of the crew in the middle of the two older ones. The perfect and sophisticated furniture looks nearly insignificant in comparison to the beauty of this amazing family, landed in Venice to experience the emotion of this symbolic wedding.

In front of the local authority officer, they exchange their wedding vows, their promises and their rings. The emotion is clearly visible on the faces of those who are there. Kisses between the bride and the groom but not only: also a lot of lovely hugs for the three daughters. And as in the hall there is a violinist, why not indulging in some dance steps? The couples swap partners, but the most touching performance is the one of the youngest girl with the oldest one. Mum’s bigger hand covers the little one’s hand, while the little girl’s face is a lovely mix of joy and surprise, as she looks around her.

Alexandre and his bride go outside to be introduced to Venice as husband and wife. Under them, not too far on their right, there is the Ca’ d’Oro museum. In front of them there isn’t just the Grand Canal. On the other bank, there is the noisy and cheerful chatting of people at the Rialto Fish Market, and the Rialto Bridge is there on their left. Some traditional pictures are a must. In the hall and in the parlour. A little bit romantic and a little bit  passionate. But now it’s time to stop with the static. We are in Venice, it’s time to go on the water, and so the Caribbean crew gets aboard a taxi headed towards Saint George’s Island.

The view speaks for itself. When Alexandre and his family arrive, some clouds of different colours and shapes are making their way in the sky. They have just got married with a symbolic ceremony in a luxurious palace, but they still have a lot of energy, so here they are dancing altogether in front of the church of San Giorgio Maggiore. And then on the boat again passing under the Bridge of Sighs and finishing their wedding day in Venice in a very good restaurant, enjoying the typical specialities. Venice inspires, the human beings seduce. The conjunction between these elements creates Life.
