Fabulous wedding at the San Clemente Palace Kempinski in Venice
Julie and Steven’s wedding ceremony in the enchanting garden of San Clemente Palace Kempinski
When we first met Julie and Steven, we knew they were meant to be together.
They were from Ohio and what they wanted for their wedding in Venice was an intimate but sophisticated ceremony, so we thought that the San Clemente Palace Kempinski could be the perfect location for them.
The San Clemente Palace Kempinski is located on the San Clemente island, in the Venetian lagoon, not far from St. Mark’s Square and it’s characterized by a splendid garden. If your dream is getting married on an island in Venice, this is definitely one of the most beautiful ones.
The wedding arrangement in the San Clemente Palace Kempinski garden
Julie and Steven wanted their wedding in Venice to be small and a moment to celebrate with their families in a green paradise, surrounded by the lagoon.
We arranged a fabulous flower arch in the garden, made of white and light pink flowers, orchids and pendent crystals, in perfect harmony with the bridal bouquet composed by calla lilies and light pink roses.
We put a couple of big cups at the beginning of the path, holding two bunches of flowers. The path was covered with petals and ready to welcome the bride, who was getting ready in the San Clemente Palace Kempinski's finest suite.
We positioned 30 golden chairs in the garden and we decorated each of them with a tiny bouquet of white and light pink flowers.
Steven was waiting for Julie at the arch and he was visibly nervous, but who wouldn’t be? Julie arrived holding his father’s arm, with a big and moved smiled on her face. Their eyes fell into each other and the garden appeared so small compared to the love of this sweet couple. A violin and a cello accompanied their sincere “yes” and the passionate kiss they gave each other. Now Julie and Steve were husband and wife.
Right after the ceremony, we arranged an elegant aperitivo in a private area of the San Clemente Palace Kempinski, which was gladdened by soft sax music.
Private wedding dinner reception at Hotel Danieli, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Venice
After the canonical photo shooting and a moment of pure relax, Julie and Steven reached the famous Hotel Danieli with a private luxury taxi.
The Danieli Hotel is well-known for having one of the most beautiful rooftop terraces in Venice and for being one of the most luxurious hotels in the city.
On the terrace, we arranged a couple of tables we decorated with many bunches of purple flowers and candles. We also placed a golden service plate with a shining gold napkin on it, for each guest. On everyone’s left side we positioned the menu in gold with a purple orchid.
Here’s the menu Julie and Steven chose for their wedding at the Danieli Hotel.
Dinner menu
Marinated beef carpaccio and smoked ricotta cheese
Lobster and potato cannelloni pasta with aubergine cream
Risotto with vegetables
Bacon rolled beef fillet, with carrot flan and blue cheese sauce [for the meat menu]
Sea bass fillet with dill sauce [for the fish menu]
It was a small wedding, but one of the most touching we have ever had the pleasure to organize. It’s always a gift seeing a couple so in love as Julie and Steven, even for us who arrange wedding ceremonies so often.
