Let’s start from the beginning of this romantic fairy tale. The bride and groom came to Italy from the UK together with their guests. The guests stayed at the JW Marriott Resort on the Island of the Roses, while the soon-to-be husband and wife booked a very elegant suite in the luxury San Clemente Palace Kempinski Venice, a unique resort on a private island surrounded by nature: a stunning backdrop for an exclusive wedding!

 

The day before the wedding we organized a welcome cocktail on the panoramic terrace of the Hotel Bauer Palazzo, overlooking the Grand Canal. A luxury hotel in the heart of the city center, a terrace close to the water with one of the best views over the Basilica della Salute Church, cocktails and delicious appetizers to taste Italian flavors, a DJ to enjoy a warm summer evening with good music, can you imagine something better as an introduction to an exclusive wedding in Venice?

Our wedding planners proposed an idea that made the night even more special: we organized a gondola tour for everyone to enjoy the view of St. Mark’s Square at night, a one-of-a-kind experience that you can live only in Venice! From the gondola to the taxi boat, it was time for everyone to go back to the islands of the Venetian lagoon and get some rest before the big day. 

San Clemente Palace Kempinski Venice sets the stage for an unforgettable wedding celebration! If you prefer an outdoor symbolic ceremony in the gardens, like the fabulous wedding of Julia and Steven, or if you prefer the deconsecrated church, like Ava and Ralf, there is one thing that you can’t miss: on the way to the ceremony, the bride will go down the enchanting staircase for iconic photos!

Our experienced team of wedding planners worked with the bride and groom to create a bespoke event tailored to their vision and preferences. They wanted the wedding ceremony to be solemn and we made sure it was the case by hiring three tenors and an arch string quartet who sang and played the repertoire chosen: from an opera air such as “Nessun Dorma” by Giacomo Puccini to more recent songs such as “Fall on me” by the famous Italian singer Andrea Bocelli. Every moment of the emotional symbolic ceremony was planned with great attention to details and the beautiful deconsecrated church of the San Clemente Palace Kempinski was the perfect frame!

After the symbolic ceremony, the newlyweds went aboard a luxury taxi boat with the photographer and videographer for amazing pictures in the center of Venice and in the lagoon, while the guests enjoyed a sunny afternoon in the beautiful garden of the resort San Palace Kempinski Venice. When the bride and groom came back to the island, it was time to serve the dinner.

 

The decoration was incredible: a beautiful long table, a lot of pink flowers matching with the pink tablecloth and napkins, elegant candleholders to create a very romantic atmosphere, personalized mise-en-place with golden details on the glasses, underplate and cutlery, rustic chairs that suit perfectly in a garden … this exclusive wedding at San Palace Kempinski Venice was a true dream! As you can see in our video gallery, we always made our best to create fabulous floral decorations, but for this wedding we added another special detail: after sunset, a lot of string lights surrounding the table created the most fantastic wedding atmosphere!

Amanda and Matthew wanted to get married in Venice not only for an elegant ceremony in a symbolic church and for an amazing setting for the wedding dinner surrounded by nature, but they also wanted an unforgettable wedding party! Everyone left the chairs when the energetic The Puppets Band started their great show and the beautiful garden of the San Palace Kempinski Venice turned into a dynamic dancefloor decorated with the initials of the bride and groom, where everyone had great fun.

The most emotional moment was the first dance as husband and wife, the bride and groom were incredible and even more incredible was the background: we placed a big sign with the initials A & M, decorated with flowers and sparkling lights to add a special effect to the fantastic wedding party of Amanda and Matthew in the garden of the San Palace Kempinski Venice.
