A touching Indian wedding in Venice at JW Marriott Resort

They have known each other for a long time, but even so, their love is so deep and sincere like the first day. They contacted us to organize their Indian wedding in Venice since they got engaged in Italy. We accepted straight away, we couldn’t be happier to help a couple like them, so in love with each other.

They were excited to start their life together as husband and wife in the country they love the most.

This is what they said about our service once they went back to the States.

 

They spent a few days in Venice and not just the day of their wedding, in fact, Isha and James wanted to celebrate their union twice: once with a traditional Indian ceremony and one with a symbolic ceremony.

First day: pre-wedding dinner at JW Marriott Resort

The first day Isha and James got in Venice had a pre-wedding dinner at JW Marriott Resort. It was a chance to spend some time together with their friends and relatives, enjoying the beautiful location where their wedding would have taken place the day after. 

The dinner was simple and based on our Italian cuisine. Since Isha and James love our country so much we did our best to let them eat the best Italian pizza ever.

 

Second day: Indian wedding at JW Marriott Resort

The second day at JW Marriott Resort was the day of their two splendid weddings. Both Isha and James got prepared in their rooms, wearing the dresses for the traditional Indian ceremony. Isha was wearing a beautiful and sparkling dress, shining earrings, and a precious necklace. She was radiant and visibly moved, excited to see James, and finally, become his wife. 

 

 

Indian wedding ceremonies are fascinating and full of rituals, such as the offering of a coconut. It is a sacred fruit that symbolizes selflessness and represents the act of giving each other selflessly in the relationship.

Another important part of the ceremony is the exchange of the jayamaalas (garlands), saying "Let all the learned persons present here know, we are accepting each other willingly, voluntarily and pleasantly. Our hearts are concordant and united like waters."

 

 

Then, the ritual of the seven steps around the fire ratifies the union between the bride and the groom, with the promise of always supporting each other and live happily together.

Right after the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a rich buffet. 

 

 

In the afternoon, Isha and James got married again! That’s true. In fact, they decided to get married with a symbolic ceremony too, in the JW Marriott Resort’s garden. 

Everyone went changing for the celebration. Isha wore a beautiful classic white dress and James wore a white jacket and a pair of black trousers.

Even if it was the second ceremony of the day, Isha and James were both excited and nervous. It doesn’t happen every day to get married twice, does it?

 

 

After the ceremony, Isha and James took a taxi we arranged for them, to enjoy their first moments as husband and wife alone around Venice, surfing the calm water of the lagoon.

 

 

Once they came back, there was a nice aperitive and dinner with friends and relatives. Here’s what we served:

Third day: a taste of honeymoon in Venice

As we said, Isha and James decided to start their honeymoon in Venice, giving themselves the chance to visit the island of Burano, getting there on a private boat the asked us to book for them. 

They had been three wonderful days, full of love and happiness and we are more than grateful to had the opportunity of being the ones who helped Isha and James to celebrate their love for each other as they wished to.

This wasn’t our first Indian wedding in Venice, but it was certainly one of the most touching.
